How Stings and Wings started
Hello! My name is Adam Gobel and I originally started beekeeping as a hobby back on May 26, 2024 when I bought my first package of bees. After I worked with bees for a while, I decided that I wanted to turn it into a functional business and that’s how I decided to start ¨Stings and Wings.¨ Along with running my own beekeeping business, I have a major love for all animals and that’s why I decided to use 50% of all profits to go towards opening my own animal rescue called ¨The Second Chance Animal Sanctuary.¨ By purchasing one of our products or services, youŕe not only helping save the pollinators we need to survive, but you are also giving mistreated animals a second chance at life. bee removal services
Our business originally started around honeybee removal and then we developed into offering a lot of other bee products. We also made the decision to upgrade our bee removal services to include removal of all species of bees and not just honeybees. Our business prides ourselves in doing everything to the best of our ability especially when that comes to bee removal. Our goal is to safely remove any unwanted bees from your property and move them to our apiary. Get in contact with us today to get a quote.
Our honey is harvested locally and unlike big stores we do not add anything to it such as sugar or preservatives. The honey we produce is 100% made by the bees.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
The color of honey depends on the time of year it is harvested. It is all based on what kind of flowers the bees are visiting that time of year. The color can also be based on the age of the honey or the way it is harvested, but it is mostly based on the time of year.

Yes!! the different colors do mean a bit of a different taste. If honey is lighter then this means it will be more mild and sweet. If honey is darker this means it will have a bolder flavor and more minerals within the honey.
-
dark honey is commonly known to be better for you as it has a higher concentration of antioxidants, minerals (like iron, potassium, zinc), and beneficial plant compounds, which combat free radicals and support wellness, while lighter honeys offer a milder flavor, and both are healthier than processed sugar, but dark honey provides more potent nutritional benefits.

Our honey is straight out of the hives and into the jars. We do not heat or pasteurize our honey. This makes the honey retain beneficial pollen, beneficial enzymes, offers unique flavors from local flowers, potentially helping with seasonal allergies, and supporting a local beekeeper. Whereas commercial honey is usually filtered, heated, pasteurized, blended, and sometimes adulterated with syrups, stripping its natural benefits and flavor.
